Over three decades ago, the journey of owning a jewelry store began for my husband and me. It all started with a casual conversation during our return from a delightful holiday in Durban. The question arose – should we uproot our lives, pack our belongings, and embark on a new chapter on the picturesque south coast?
Our fondness for Amanzimtoti, particularly during school vacations, ignited our curiosity about living in this charming location. We decided to test the waters by putting our house on the market, eager to see what destiny had in store for us. To our amazement, the house was swiftly sold within a few days.
With a mix of excitement and trepidation, we set off for Amanzimtoti. Packed tightly in two cars were our three children, three dogs, and a few of our belongings as we embarked on the road trip toward our new hometown.
Although we hadn’t figured out all the details, we held steadfast in our trust that God would guide us through the journey. As we settled into our new home, we acquired the jewelry store that we called “Silver and Gold Jewellers”. As we embraced our “new” life as a family in Amanzimtoti, we knew we were stepping into an unknown yet promising future. The rest, as they say, is now etched in history.
We want to thank everyone for your continued support over the years. We look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
